The CNOOC Lufeng Platform, operated by China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), produces over 20,000 barrels of crude oil per day. With such high output, every minute of power disruption leads to significant operational and financial losses.
Due to increasing electricity demand and aging infrastructure, the platform’s original busduct system—provided by a foreign joint venture brand—was no longer adequate. The challenge? The original supplier could only offer new products and was unable to provide on-site upgrade and renovation services.
CNOOC urgently needed a partner who could both manufacture a new busduct system and handle complex offshore renovation—without causing downtime. After evaluating over 20 busduct suppliers, only Ohory Electric (Cao Gong) provided a full turnkey solution.

After 28 days of medical isolation and testing, Ohory’s engineers flew to the platform via helicopter, carrying tools and equipment. In just one month:
